Episode 214: Do This After Your Next Project: After Action Review

When you’re working on a new project, program, or event, you spend so much time planning and preparing that when it’s finally over you’re exhausted and ready to move on. But there’s a way to leverage the process to carry your learning forward and set you up for success in the future.

It’s through reflection on what went well and what to do differently, often called an After Action Review or a Retrospective Review.

In today’s episode I’ll walk through why you should consider doing this at work and how to get started.

You don't have to be a team leader to facilitate any of this and you can also apply these principles to your own work or personal goals.

Your One Bold Move: Before you move on to the next thing at work, spend time as a group reflecting on what you’ve learned and how you will apply this going forward.
