Today launches HeyMama’s campaign, Motherhood On the Resume. I was so moved when I heard about this campaign, because for much of my career, and for many women before me, motherhood has been considered a penalty.

Being a working mother required a dual identity I hadn’t been prepared for. Here's the thing: Motherhood has made me a better employee and, most especially, a better leader. Working has made me a better mother, too.
